A Flexible Drop-Off Program for Independent Learners (Grades 7–12)

Welcome to The Learning Lounge—a relaxed, student-centered space for homeschool middle and high schoolers who want a dedicated place to focus, connect, and stay on track. Learners bring their own curriculum, and our educators provide a calm, structured environment with built-in social time, gentle accountability, and on-demand academic support. It’s the perfect blend of independence and mentorship—giving teens the freedom to work at their own pace, with guidance available whenever they need it.

The Learning Lounge is offered in five 6-week sessions throughout the school year, with options to attend 1, 2, or 3 days per week. This structure allows families to commit in shorter chunks while still giving learners enough time to settle into a rhythm, build friendships, and become part of our community.

It’s a blend of independence and academic mentorship—giving teens the freedom to work at their own pace, with support right there when they need it.

Our Guides are available throughout the day to:

• Guide learning strategies – from breaking down large assignments into manageable steps to mapping out a study plan for exams or projects.

• Support subject mastery – offering explanations, examples, and practice for tricky concepts

• Build organization skills – helping learners keep binders, planners, and digital tools neat and effective.

• Encourage idea development – brainstorming for essays, creative writing, or passion projects, and helping refine those ideas into action plans.

• Connect learners with resources – finding books, websites, and tools to fuel deeper exploration of their interests.

Community

We host many events and family field trips throughout the year, and enrolled learners in The Learning Lounge are always invited to join. From park days and seasonal celebrations to educational outings and service projects, these experiences offer teens opportunities to connect with peers, explore interests outside the classroom, and feel like part of a broader learning community. It's just one more way our learners build friendships and find belonging through shared experiences.

How It Works

Parents provide and manage the academic curriculum, and we provide the environment, resources, and mentorship to help learners thrive. At The Learning Lounge, students:

• Work on assignments independently in a dedicated, distraction-free space

• Receive on-demand support from educators to clarify concepts, plan projects, or find resources

• Build study skills, time management strategies, and organizational habits

• Take breaks and enjoy meaningful social interaction with peers

• Develop confidence and independence as self-directed learners

We supply the space, structure, and guidance—students bring their goals and motivation.

Open Drop-Off Hours: 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM
Days Available: Choose 2 or 3 days/week (Tuesdays–Thursdays)

Tuition & Deposit

Per 6-Week Session:

• 1 Day/Week: $165 per 6-week session

• 2 Days/Week: $300 per 6-week session

• 3 Days/Week: $420 per 6-week session

Full-Year Discount:

• 1 Day/Week: $775/year (Save $50!)

• 2 Days/Week: $1,350/year (Save $150!)

• 3 Days/Week: $1,900/year (Save $200!)

One-Time Enrollment Deposit: $100 per school year (non-refundable)

Academic Calendar

The Learning Lounge runs in five 6-week sessions throughout the school year. Some sessions span 7 calendar weeks to accommodate a scheduled break, resulting in 6 active weeks of programming for those periods.

• Session 1: September 9 – October 23 (No school the week of October 14)

• Session 2: October 28 – December 11 (No school the week of November 25)

• Session 3: January 13 – February 19

• Session 4: February 24 – April 9 (No school the week of March 17)

• Session 5: April 14 – May 21
