Are you passionate about science and the outdoors, love working with kids, and thrive in a playful, hands-on environment? Join the team at Nature’s Schoolhouse as a Enrichment Educator for our Trailblazer Discovery Days program!

Each Monday, learners ages 4–12 explore science and nature through outdoor discovery in the morning, followed by engaging enrichment activities like art, yoga, gardening, cooking, sports, and more in the afternoon. It’s a little like a nature-based summer camp—but all school year long!

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Is warm, energetic, and great with kids

  • Enjoys working outdoors in all kinds of weather

  • Feels confident leading group activities

  • Works well as part of a team

  • Has experience teaching or leading children, including lesson planning, group management, and hands-on activities

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree or certification in a relevant field (experience in place of formal education will also be considered) such as:

    • Early Childhood Education

    • Elementary Education

    • Child Development

    • Outdoor or Environmental Education

    • Human Development and Family Sciences

    • Youth and Community Studies

    • or a related discipline

  • At least 2 years of experience leading a class and managing a group of learners—this may include homeschool co-ops, traditional classrooms, preschool settings, substitute teaching, or similar environments.

  • CPR/First Aid certified (or willing to obtain within 30 days of hire)

  • Pass a background check

  • Comfortable co-teaching a group of 30–35 children with a team of 2–3 other educators, and independently leading a smaller group of ~10 learners in outdoor, hands-on learning.

This is a great role for:

  • Educators looking for a fun and flexible side role

  • Homeschooling parents (your child is welcome to attend the program with you!)

  • College students or recent grads in education or related fields
